The Lifeline service is an intercom system that is linked to a 24-hour control room and should you need help at any time of the day or night, you can make an emergency call from anywhere in your home.
By pressing the button on a pendant that can be worn around your neck, , your call will be answered by one of our highly trained operators.
They will provide reassurance and take appropriate action, such as asking one of your nominated contacts to check on you or call the emergency services.
The Lifeline is a very simple piece of equipment that works alongside your own telephone. The Lifeline is plugged into your telephone socket and power point.
The Lifeline acts just like a telephone which can be activated by pressing a button on a pendant which can be worn around the neck . This sends a radio message to the lifeline unit. The unit is then activated and sends an emergency call to our Centre which is manned 24 hours, 365 days a year.
Our Operator views your details which appear on computer screens. The details will include your:
Name and Address
Telephone number
Medical conditions
Also the names of two or three people who would be willing to be contacted if you need assistance and able to access your home be it family, friends or neighbours
The operator can speak to you over the lifeline unit and you can also talk back to them so they can find out what difficultly or problems you are having. They will arrange for help to come to you from your named contacts and will contact the ambulance service or your doctor if required.
If you are unable to speak or are away from the unit so you cannot be heard, help would be requested .
There is a one off set up charge of £32 inc vat
The monthly charge for lease of lifeline and calls monitoring is £12.00 inc vat
